A very animated, "Huh?"

I don't get it. What is this fascination with Manga people have? The monstrous appendages, the colorful hair, the pointy ears, the wild eyes,.... I just don't understand what it is that makes people like this stuff. Sure, I can understand the porn aspect, but why not look at some REAL people having REAL sex instead of an animated / cartoon version of it?

There's a TON out there too! And yes, I understand some of the history, about how in Japan certain things weren't allowed in print and how they came up with ways to get around those rules,.. but that was out of necessity they created those things, like showing tentacle insertion because they couldn't show penile insertion. But now that necessity is over. Is it that those things generated a sortof 'cult' following and that's why people like them? Or do people really get off on this type of art instead of looking at real humans?

That makes me think about this study I read on child pornography. In the study, people were tested for sexual responsiveness. They have this machine they hook-up to the penis that detects movement, growth, fluctuations, etc. Yes, this is real. I'm not bullshitting you. Now here's the thing. They showed everyone, both 'normal' folks and known child molesters / sex offenders videos of child pornography. EVERYONE was aroused by it. Then they showed everyone 'regular' pornography. The DIFFERENCE was, the child molesters / sex offenders were NOT aroused by 'regular' pornography.

We know there's often a sexual abuse story behind why some people are child sex offenders. So it makes me pose the question: Are there people that only get aroused by looking at animated sexual content? And how does that happen? Did mommy and daddy let you watch too many cartoons as a kid? Or did they have sex in front of the tv as cartoons were playing and you walked in on them or something?
