Hot and Cold

A passionate tryst
A sweet embrace
A stolen meeting
A moment together
beautiful,
...... not wasted.

Sometimes our meetings are like this. Elegant, needed, comforting.



Other times,.. however,... our meetings are hot. Smoldering.
Filled with heated desires and lascivious acts.
We set each other aflame.
We burn ourselves with our lust.
And into that light we go,
on fire
yet satisfaction is there,
so we burn,
............................. willingly.

On occasion though, amidst our heated interludes, an emergency arises which causes her to depart. This is not a great thing, nor is it a terrible thing. It just is. It is the nature of a condition to our interactions due to our circumstances.


A few days ago this happened. See the fire above?
We were hot.
We were enthralled in our passion.
We were aflame,...
..................... when the call came.

She had to go. An emergency to attend to.
I was alone.
So cold.
Frosted.
my burning flame,
.................. frozen solid.

I'm glad she returned,........... to finish what we started.
